downloadUsing tweezers I took a sample from a mosquito wing. In this image you can observe the minute scales located on the margin of the wing. These scales contribute to the reduction of air friction and the improvement of the flight. Mosquitoes flap their wings up to 600 vibrations per second, thus producing the famous buzzing sound.
